10,365 new Covid-19 cases, 6 patients died

The National System of Case Management of Covid-19 today recorded 10,365 new cases in 59 provinces and cities, all of which were domestic infections (7,412 F0 community). Compared to yesterday, the total number of cases decreased by 795 cases.

Average number of new infections in the country recorded in the past 7 days: 12,428 cases/day.

To date, the country’s total number of Covid-19 patients is 10,554,689 cases, ranking 12th out of 227 countries and territories. Particularly for the fourth outbreak (from April 27), there were an additional 10,494,842 cases due to domestic transmission.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 10,554,689 infections, ranking 12th out of 227 countries and territories, while with the ratio of infections per million people, Vietnam ranks 104 out of 227 countries and territories (106,705 cases on average for every 1 million people). Particularly for the fourth outbreak, the number of infections recorded in the country was 10,546,941 cases.

Regarding the treatment situation, on April 23, the Ministry of Health announced 2,229 Covid-19 patients recovered. The total number of cured F0 is now 9,081,494 cases, and 1,473,195 F0 are being treated.

The number of Covid-19 patients who died in a day was 6 cases, of which: Cao Bang (1), Dong Nai (1), Ha Tinh (1), Kien Giang (1), Phu Tho (1), Quang Binh. (first).

Up to now, Vietnam has had 43,004 deaths from Covid-19, accounting for 0.4% of the total infections. The average number of deaths recorded in the past 7 days is 10 cases. The total number of deaths ranked 24/227 territories, the number of deaths per 1 million people ranked 130/227 countries and territories in the world. Compared with Asia, the total number of deaths ranked 6/49 (3rd in ASEAN), deaths per 1 million people ranked 25/49 Asian countries and territories (ranked 4th in ASEAN).

Regarding the testing situation, the number of tests performed from April 27, 2021 to now is 39,488,620 samples, equivalent to 85,786,808 turns of people, an increase of 10,108 samples compared to the previous day.

Regarding the vaccination situation, yesterday (April 22) there were 708,730 doses of Covid-19 vaccine injected. Thus, the total number of vaccine doses administered is 211,992,855 doses, of which:

Number of doses for people 18 years and older is 194,292,929 doses: 1st dose is 71,427,826 doses; dose 2 is 68,583,296 doses; dose 3 is 1,505,743 doses; the additional dose was 15,189,164 doses; booster dose is 37,586,900 doses.

Number of doses for children aged 12-17 years is 17,325,671 doses: 1st dose is 8,873,048 doses; dose 2 is 8,452,623 doses.

Number of doses for children from 5-11 years old is 374,255 doses (1st dose).
