A 61-year-old woman died after breast augmentation at Kangnam Plastic Surgery Hospital
On the morning of April 23, a source from PV said that a medical incident in plastic surgery had just happened at Saigon Kangnam Cosmetic Hospital (Cach Mang Thang 8 Street, Ward 5, Tan Binh District).
Specifically on April 19, A female patient (61 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City) came to Kangnam Hospital Saigon health check to perform plastic surgery. After completing the health check, at 6:00 on April 20, Patient is admitted to the hospital to prepare for breast augmentation surgery.
At 11:00 on the same day, the patient showed symptoms of shortness of breath. The breast augmentation surgery hospital asked for the support of Cho Ray Hospital at 11:15. The patient was placed in ECMO (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) at Saigon Kangnam Hospital, and at 13:00 on the same day, he was transferred to Cho Ray Hospital.
However, by 16:20 on the same day, the female patient died. After the incident happened, the authorities coordinated to conduct verification and clarification of the incident. Currently, the medical record has been sealed, the inspector also requested the Aesthetic Hospital Kangnam temporarily suspends plastic surgery activities until the conclusion of the regulator. Inspectors of the Department of Health also went to Cho Ray Hospital to ask for medical records support.
