A woman died after a few hours of breast augmentation at Saigon Kangnam Hospital
Previously, on April 19, a female patient (61 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City) came to the hospital Kangnam Hospital Saigon health check before performing plastic surgery. At 6:00 a.m. on April 20, the patient was admitted to the hospital to prepare for breast augmentation surgery with what is believed to be breast fat implantation.
At 11:00 on the same day, the patient showed symptoms of shortness of breath. The breast augmentation surgery hospital asked for the support of Cho Ray Hospital at 11:15.
The patient was placed in ECMO (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) at Saigon Kangnam Hospital, and at 13:00 on the same day, he was transferred to Cho Ray Hospital. But at 16:20 on April 20, the patient died.
Immediately after the incident, the Inspector coordinated with the Ward 5 Police, the Tan Binh District Investigation Police, to verify and clarify the case.
Currently, the authorities have sealed the medical records, the Inspector asked Kangnam Hospital to suspend plastic surgery activities until the conclusion of the regulator.
Inspectors of the Department of Health also went to Cho Ray Hospital to ask for medical records support.
