D.C. police said 23-year-old Raymond Spencer was identified from a video he posted on social media with the caption “school shooting,” which showed the shooting being carried out from a window. a high rise apartment.

A few hours earlier, police released a photo of Spencer, saying they were looking for him. Spencer committed suicide after the police stormed his apartment.

Witnesses told Reuters they heard multiple gunshots in the Van Ness neighborhood in northwest Washington DC, near Edmund Burke Private School, just before school was dismissed.

Contee police said the suspect fired at least 20 bullets. Police still do not know the motive for the shooting.
