According to the content of the case, Tran Thi Thuy and Mr. D.VY (born in 1979, residing in Buon Trap town) previously had a husband and wife relationship and had 3 children together.

In 2016, due to conflicts in married life, Thuy and Mr. Y got divorced. However, then the two returned to live together, having one more child in common.

During the process of Mrs. Thuy’s pregnancy and giving birth to her fourth child, there were many conflicts between the two. Ms. Thuy arose the intention to buy drugs to slander Mr. Y in order to take revenge.

Around July 2021, Ms. Thuy met Vo Minh Tri (born in 1990, residing in Buon Trap town) thanks to buying drugs for 7 million VND. Seeing that the amount of drugs she had just bought from Tri was small, at the beginning of August 2021, Ms. Thuy contacted Vu Minh Duc Son (SN 1994, residing in Buon Trap town) to ask for help to buy drugs. After agreeing, subject Son said that Ms. Thuy gave 4 million VND to Vu Minh Ha (SN 1994, Son’s younger brother) and was sold drugs by Ha.

On the afternoon of August 15, 2021, seeing that Mr. Y said he was hit by the wind, Ms. Thuy took a packet and mixed it with a glass of lemonade for Mr. Y. to drink. At the same time, hide the remaining 2 packages of drugs in the back of Mr. Y’s motorbike.

Then, knowing that Mr. Y was driving a motorbike to the area of ​​a gas station, Ms. Thuy called to report to the police that someone was in possession of drugs. Receiving the news, Buon Trap town police arrested Mr. Y and discovered that there were drugs in the back of the car. However, during the investigation process, the police agency clarified the nature of the incident.

The trial panel sentenced defendant Tran Thi Thuy to 6 years and 6 months in prison for the crime of “illegal possession of narcotics”. Because Ms. Thuy was previously sentenced to 9 months and 25 days of non-custodial reform for gambling but has not yet fully served the sentence, the total sentence of defendant Tran Thi Thuy is 6 years, 9 months and 8 days in prison.

At the same time, sentenced defendant Vo Minh Tri to 2 years and 6 months in prison; Vu Minh Duc Son for 3 years and 3 months in prison and Vu Minh Ha for 2 years and 9 months in prison for the same crime of “illegal trading in narcotics”.
