Google closes the date of “death” of the call recording application on the Android operating system

Currently on Google Play Store has many applications that support call recording, allowing users to easily download and install.

However, Google recently made some changes to the policy on the app store. Prominent among them is the removal of call recording applications on Android.

Accordingly, from May 11, Google will no longer allow applications on the Play Store to perform call recording functions.

“Google will officially stop supporting third-party call recording applications from May 11” – according to Android Authority.

The changed policies affect app developers’ use of the Accessibility API. Therefore, the Accessibility API is not designed for remote call recording and cannot request the API for this purpose.

Starting with Android 10, Google has blocked the call recording feature by default.

In the short term, Google’s new policy only affects third-party call recording applications on the Google Play Store, while the default call recording function is built-in on the caller of all phones. such as Google Pixel, Xiaomi or Samsung have not been affected.

The reason Google came to this decision is due to many years of litigation related to user privacy.
