An unnamed source from Toyota confirmed to Autonews this week that the Lexus TX – an “all-new” 3-row 7-seat SUV is being developed by the Japanese brand. The size of the car is said to be slightly larger than the RX L and in the same segment as Mercedes-Benz or BMW X7. Compared to the Lexus LX, which uses a strong separate body frame for off-road performance, the TX’s monolithic body structure will provide better comfort.
The chassis used for the Lexus TX, rumored to be borrowed from the Toyota Grand Highlander, is also coming (essentially an extension of the new Highlander). The car launch timeline is around the end of 2023.

Lexus, when asked, did not comment on the report. However, Toyota/Lexus has recently invested 803 million USD to upgrade the Princeton, Indiana, USA factory, where two new SUV models are rumored to go into assembly from the middle of next year.
The production-based model, which Toyota announced when it “unveiled” the aforementioned investment last year, has an “8-seat interior”, a “semi-autonomous system that allows the user to go hands-free in a under certain conditions”, “remote parking assist system with a smartphone” and “digital lock that allows users to change the lock using a mobile phone”.
The above information seems to be quite consistent with the image of the Lexus TX – a large luxury SUV rich in technology. The car is likely to also have an electrified engine option.
