During college, he used to study at Saigon University. Until the age of 21, after receiving the World Blitz Championship, Le Quang Liem received a full scholarship from Webster University (USA).

During the first period of being an international student, Le Quang Liem also faced many difficulties to get used to the new environment.

He once confided that if he did not know how to allocate time properly, it would not be easy to study two majors and compete in chess.

With a very heavy amount of knowledge, Le Quang Liem still diligently participates in the school’s extracurricular activities. He is the Chairman of the Finance and Investment Club of Webster University, has attended many financial conferences in the US.

After 4 years of study, Le Quang Liem graduated with distinction with two bachelor’s degrees in science, finance and art and management from Webster University.

In addition, Le Quang Liem also holds honorary degrees from the Faculty of Management and the Faculty of Business. During the graduation ceremony, Quang Liem was honored to represent Vietnamese students in procession of the Vietnamese national flag to the podium.
