Of the 750 ethical hackers surveyed in 2021, 84% of them learned to “hunt” themselves through online websites or self-taught. The rest are trained through professional and methodical courses.
Of the white hat hackers surveyed, 66% said they spend more than 10 hours a week doing this. The most interesting thing is that more than 50% of them work as white hat hackers as a side job.
Although this is considered a “big” and “easy” job to learn, up to 92% of white hat hackers are male, 4% are female and 4% hide their true identities.
