Biden nominates US ambassador to Ukraine

During their visit to Kiev, US officials also announced a military aid package worth $713 million to Ukraine and 15 allied and partner countries, of which about $322 million is for Kiev, the rest is divided among the other countries. In addition to the aid of more than 300 million USD, the US also decided to sell 165 million USD worth of ammunition to Ukraine to use for Soviet-era weapons, bringing the total amount of US military assistance to Ukraine to 3.7 billion.
