Bphone A85 5G is in the segment of less than 10 million VND, supports high-speed connection, “punched” camera but no waterproof feature.
Information about the upcoming phone model is announced by CEO Bkav Nguyen Tu Quang shared on personal page on the morning of April 25.
The product will be ordered from tomorrow, with a leather back, large rear camera cluster. The screen is beveled and curved at the edge, integrated with a fingerprint sensor, containing a “punched” dual camera cluster. The device is installed with BOS operating system, integrated with Bkav Safe Kid software, and features night photography, sMacro shooting similar to other models. Bphone released late last year.
“In order to have a good price, we have cut down on water resistance and top performance – which are the elements of a flagship device,” said Quang.
At a price range of nearly 10 million VND, Bphone A85 is in the same segment as Galaxy A53, ReaRealme 9 Pro +, Oppo Reno7 or Redmi Note 11 Pro. In particular, only Samsung products support IP67 water resistance.
Bkav CEO did not disclose more configuration information and official sale time. According to previous sources, the product will probably reach users by the end of May.

According to information about Bphone A85 found on GeekBench, the product uses Dimensity 810 chip, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB internal memory and runs Android 11 operating system. The latest result updated on March 22 shows the efficiency. The A85’s performance is 581 single-core points and 1,717 multi-core points.
Other leaked parameters of the A85 include a 6.56-inch AMOLED screen, 90 Hz refresh rate. The device is equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The rear camera cluster has a 64-megapixel main lens, the remaining lenses have 5-megapixel and 2-megapixel resolution. Battery capacity 4,200 mAh, supports 30W fast charging.
When it hits the shelves, Bphone A85 will be the first 5G smartphone manufactured by a Vietnamese phone company. Before Bkav, VinSmart introduced Vsmart Aris 5G from the beginning of June 2020 but has not been sold to the market and now this company has also stopped producing phones.
Similar to A-series products, A85 5G is not designed by Bkav but ordered from an original equipment manufacturer. Bkav writes software and imports hardware assemblies for assembly in Vietnam.
The 5G phone production plan was mentioned by Mr. Nguyen Tu Quang from April 2021. At that time, he said that “5G is not for phones” because 4G speed is enough for everyday services, from watching movies, listening to online music to studying or meeting remotely. The basic characteristics of 5G such as high speed, low latency and the ability to connect a large number of devices will be more suitable for the world of IoT connection with the utilities of Smart City, Smart Factory… However, because 5G phones are a trend, Bkav cannot stand aside.
