Coach Park Hang Seo called to add Hai Long to U23 Vietnam

Nguyen Hai Long was additionally called, U23 Vietnam Currently there are 28 players. Coach Park Hang Seo has more than 10 days to prepare before playing the first match in Group A men’s football at SEA Games 31, against U23 Indonesia.

Nguyen Hai Long is a name that regularly participates in U23 Vietnam gatherings from 2020 up to now. Midfielder of Hanoi FC play well in qualifying U23 Asia and was chosen by Coach Park Hang Seo to practice with the Vietnamese team. Therefore, the fact that Hai Long was not named in the gathering to prepare for SEA Games 31 was a big surprise.

Coach Park Hang Seo tested many players in midfield in two friendly matches against Korea U20. Nguyen Trong Long, Ly Cong Hoang Anh, Tran Bao Toan, Huynh Cong Den and Dang Van Lam were all given the opportunity next to two seniors Nguyen Hoang Duc and Do Hung Dung.

At SEA Games 31, each team can register up to 20 players. However, Coach Park Hang Seo wants to maintain a concentrated army of about 27-28 players to be ready to replace.

According to the rules of the 31st SEA Games men’s football, teams have the right to replace players on the original list if there is a case of COVID-19. Specifically, each team can change up to 15 people.

Newly added players must be on the 50-man preliminary list. This is the list that the teams participating in the 31st SEA Games men’s football submitted to the organizers from the end of March.

At SEA Games 31, U23 Vietnam shared a group with U23 Indonesia, U23 Myanmar, U23 Philippines and U23 Timor Lester. All matches of Group A take place at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho). If entering the semi-finals, U23 Vietnam will continue to play at this venue.

Coach Park Hang Seo’s teachers and students have just played 2 friendly matches (won 1 match, drawn 1 match) with South Korea U20. U23 Vietnam is currently gathering in Hanoi. Coach Park Hang Seo’s teachers and students plan to move to Phu Tho in early May to prepare for the competition.
