As the youngest child, she was given more attention by her father in education than her sisters.

At the age of 21, she became a freshman at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy. In 1959, she graduated from the university. Before being sent to study apothecary in Romania, she worked at the Central School of Health Officers. Her career was associated with research and medicine until her retirement.
Bach Thuoc’s husband is Mr. Vu Son – who used to be in love with her sister but did not receive a reply. The news of her second sister’s marriage made Vu Son extremely depressed, but because Bach Thuoc’s father loved this talented boy, he encouraged Vu Son to join the resistance with the promise to marry his youngest daughter.
Meanwhile, Bach Thuoc is having a deep love affair with a military doctor. Because she knew that her father had such a solemn promise, Bach Thuoc was always tormented and questioned himself about the religion of being a son. In the end, she chose to follow her father’s will, break up the love affair and marry Vu Son after he returned from the resistance war.
Her ex once wrote her a very touching letter even though she decided to accept her farewell. Keeping the letter secret for a long time, Bach Thuoc decided to burn it himself to ashes on the day of his wedding. Her marriage then went on smoothly and happily. Her husband works in the diplomatic service, so she often follows him to many countries around the world.
