Halo’s Co-op Campaign Mode is slated to launch in August

A long-awaited Halo mode has just been announced to players in August.

According to VCG, 343 Industries says Halo Infinite’s long-awaited cooperative Campaign mode will finally be available in August. In its latest development progress update, Microsoft’s game studio has revealed that they are aiming for a late August launch date for the new mode. However, the split-screen feature won’t arrive until Season 3 in November at the earliest.

Additionally, 343 plans to introduce the ability to review campaign missions by the end of August, and the open beta for Forge is expected to begin in September.

Last summer, 343 announced that Halo Infinite’s Combined Campaign and Forge modes would not be available when the game was released in December 2021. Instead, the company’s plan was to release a coordinated Campaign mode in Season 2 and launch Forge in Season 3. These features were then further delayed when 343 extended the game’s Season 1 for through May 2022, originally scheduled to end early this year.

In the latest update, 343 goes on to note that the company’s top priority for health of the development team, and once again admitted that they weren’t producing content for Halo as quickly as they would have liked.

Halo Infinite Season 2 will kick off on May 3 with new maps, modes, and more.
