Kathy Uyen is pregnant and plays a movie about the life of foreigners in Saigon

Actress Kathy Uyen, pregnant with a pregnant belly, attended the press conference to introduce the series “Early risers” on the evening of April 24 in Ho Chi Minh City.

“Early Risers” is the first English-language foreign film invested, produced, and distributed by ACE1picture in collaboration with the Creative Artist Agency (CAA). In Vietnam, the film is expected to air on VTV9 in early 2023.

This is a passionate project of Mr. Vincent Ngo – the screenwriter of the blockbuster movie “Hancock” which reached 625 million USD in worldwide box office (2008), along with experienced filmmakers in Hollywood. and Vietnam, such as producer Peter Toumasis, director Zach Merck… Post-production was done by Christos Voutsinas, who and his team just won the Oscar for “Best Editing” with super movie production “Dune”.

During the press conference, Kathy Uyen said that before accepting the project, she had a thorough health check and was approved by her businessman husband. The actress plays a strong, independent woman who matches her personality in real life. “I want to complete the role well, consider it as a good memory during pregnancy. After this movie, I stopped working for a while, preparing for the birth“, Kathy Uyen said. Before that, at the end of March, the actress posted an unusually large bust next to her “other half”. She revealed that she was in the 19th week of pregnancy.

The film has the participation of domestic and foreign actors

“Early Risers” is expected to be 8-10 episodes long (30 minutes each), bringing together international and Vietnamese actors such as Kathy Uyen, CSLee, Kristian Bruun, Amara Miller, Omar Elba, Phi Vu, Dat Phan, Paul Yen… Director Zach Merck hopes that the “Early Risers” project will give foreign audiences a completely new perspective on Vietnam as well as depict Saigon in 2008 under the lens of non-war and using humor. Bright humor to convey the hospitable spirit of Saigon people in particular and Vietnamese society in general. The will to rise and rise of Saigon in 2008 is a medicine to “heal” the heartaches and personal problems of the foreign characters in the film.

Kathy Uyen was born in 1981, participated in the movies: Let Mai calculate, Plot high heels, I’m not 18… The actor twice won the Golden Kite Award in 2008 and 2013. Currently, the artist focuses on the role of producer, director and operating school of acting in Ho Chi Minh City.
