Viettel reveals a plan to use 6,000 billion to build the “biggest” data center in Vietnam-Information Technology

The “biggest” data center in Vietnam will be built by Viettel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Military Industry – Telecommunications Group (Viettel) has just announced a plan to build the largest data center in Vietnam with a total investment of 6,000 billion VND. This is the content contained in the investment memorandum between Viettel with Hoc Mon and Cu Chi districts (HCMC), signed at an investment promotion conference in Hoc Mon and Cu Chi districts chaired by President Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

According to the investment memorandum, by 2025, Viettel will invest in 4G and 5G infrastructure to cover broadband services for 100% of the population and fiber optic infrastructure to 100% of households. At the same time, Viettel plans to deploy the largest data center in Vietnam with an investment scale of 6,000 billion VND.

Regarding digital government, Viettel deploys and provides smart control center services, a shared data center system for government operations and administration.

Regarding the digital economy, Viettel accompanies the government to promote and achieve the set goals: 100% of businesses use digital management platforms, electronic contracts, and digital signatures. As for the digital management platform, Viettel is ready to provide 100% of businesses in Ho Chi Minh City.

In terms of digital society, Viettel accompanies the government for all people in Hoc Mon and Cu Chi districts to use smartphone and 100% of the population use electronic payment accounts.

Within the framework of the event, Colonel Cao Duc Thang – Chairman and General Director, representative of Viettel presented 200 houses of gratitude to heroic Vietnamese mothers, policy families and poor households in the area. two districts of Hoc Mon and Cu Chi.
