According to the Department of Information Technology, the units have switched to the national database on population, the Ministry of Public Security, with information of 82.3 million subjects (equivalent to 211 million injections), of which subjects have Citizen ID/ID card is 73.4 million (equivalent to nearly 181 million injections).
Verification results with the national population database show that there are still 19 million subjects, corresponding to 43.5 million injections, with incorrect information verified, including wrong identification, wrong date of birth, wrong last name. name, wrong other information. In addition, there are more than 8.8 million subjects without CCCD/ID. Authorities verified the existing information of this group on the national population database, resulting in 1.8 million subjects with false information.
Speaking at the conference, Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long said that in the past time, the vaccination management software system has been effective, but in practice, many problems have arisen, and the results have not been achieved. desired results.
The Minister emphasized that the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Information and Communications have repeatedly urged units to update to vaccination software, but so far, 7.6 million injections have not been updated. In addition, the data of 43.5 million injections has not been synchronized with the national population database.
“The government has given very clear instructions to all localities in the implementation process, but we have not completed it yet. We must seriously acknowledge the weaknesses that exist to overcome,” the minister said.
Minister Nguyen Thanh Long said that data communication and information authentication not only serve the issue of Covid-19 vaccination, but also have great significance in the future when deploying other applications. .

Also at the conference, Mr. Long said that Vietnam’s Covid-19 vaccination campaign has been very successful in recent years, but recently the rate of injection is slowing down. “With the 1st and 2nd dose in adults, almost 100% of people have been vaccinated, but the 3rd dose is very slow even though we constantly ask the localities, confirming there is no shortage of vaccines”, the Minister speak.
In addition, the rate of vaccination for children aged 5-11 is also very slow, even though the vaccination campaign has been launched for more than half a month, nearly 1 million vaccines have been administered. The Health Minister suggested localities quickly deploy vaccination campaigns, complete the 3rd dose of vaccination for adults and cover vaccines for children aged 5-11 in the second quarter of this year.
