The project of repairing and upgrading the road officially started on October 10, 2018, there were 1,188 cases of affected houses so they had to be cleared.

The project is invested with the goal of contributing to regional traffic connection in the direction of Provincial Road 9, improving traffic capacity, contributing to reducing flooding, improving the environment, embellishing urban beauty. , stabilize people’s lives in the area and gradually improve the traffic infrastructure system according to the planning, contributing to promoting the economic development of Hoc Mon district in particular and the surrounding areas of the city in general.
After completing the upgrade and repair of this arterial road, it will connect traffic in the Northwest of Ho Chi Minh City with Binh Duong and Long An provinces.
The project of upgrading and repairing with items such as building a drainage system along the sidewalk and across the road, outlet at the locations of drainage canals ensures drainage for the area and for the road.
Planting trees, building a lighting system along the route suitable to the landscape and complete according to road level; to build a complete road signaling system to ensure traffic safety, suitable to the size of the road.
The total investment of this project is 698 billion VND, of which 465 billion VND is for construction work.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Hoan – Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee said that the completion of the project on the occasion of April 30 and May 1 was a great joy for Ho Chi Minh City.
