Recently, the case of a man being attacked by crocodiles in the middle of the night in Cambodia has become the focus of attention of the online community.

Mr. Sou Sothea (37 years old, from Kampong Tayong village, Puok district, Siem Reap province, Cambodia) is a professional crocodile breeder. On the evening of April 18, after drinking with his family, Sou Sothea returned to the hammock next to the pond with 50 crocodiles on the farm to rest.

In the middle of the night, Sou Sothea woke up and wanted to go to the bathroom. However, unexpectedly, while crossing the bridge over the crocodile pond, the man accidentally slipped and fell into the pond. The loud noise attracted 5 crocodiles kept in the cage to rush over and attack the victim. They immediately rushed to the owner of the farm to bite and tear violently, causing the man to panic

Sou Sothea is undergoing long-term treatment in the hospital.

When the crocodiles considered people to be a delicious supper, Sou Sothea tried desperately to cry for help, hoping for someone to help. Fortunately, nearby neighbors heard the victim’s screams. They rushed to the scene, swam into the pond and chased the crocodiles with sticks, then brought Sou Sothea to shore. The victim was then taken to Calmette Hospital (Phnom Penh) for emergency treatment.

It is known that Sou Sothea has crocodile bites all over his body. Although the patient has passed the critical condition, because the injury is too severe, the victim will have to stay in the hospital for a long time for treatment.

The victim said that, if his neighbors hadn’t found him and taken him to the emergency room, he would probably have broken the bones in the jaws of the crocodiles he raised.

Around this time, at Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary, India, a similar incident happened. Deepu (20 years old), while going to the toilet, was attacked by a giant crocodile and dragged into the water. Unlucky like Sou Sothea, no one could save Deepu, he became a delicious prey in the belly of the swamp monster.
