Hari Won suddenly can’t hear Korean, surprising the cast of the show to escape
Episode 10 of The Escape Challenge will revolve around the topic of language. Through language challenges in each room, the familiar cast is Hari Won, Tuan Tran, Song Luan, Truong Quynh Anh“super intellect” Ha Viet Hoang and special guests Gil pears will explore the subconscious of a Vietnamese who goes backwards from old age to childhood. Thereby, they will understand more about the meaning of preserving and developing the Vietnamese language.
Entering the first dark room, the cast was a bit panicked because the floor was all sand. In the room, there are many lines of text that need to be deciphered. Ha Viet Hoang quickly realized the topic of this volume was “language”, when he saw the image of Alexandre de Rhodes’ portrait on the wall.
Later, the 6 of them had just opened the closet door when a Korean voice rang out. Surprisingly, Hari Won didn’t realize it was Korean. Her face showed extreme bewilderment as she asked everyone again.”Hey Korean?“. Calming down, she explained to everyone the meaning of the Korean sentence earlier. After completing the challenge, the group exited the first room.
Arriving in the secret room, the players see a signboard hanging on the wall, with a symbol indicating that they have to use a shovel to dig in the ground. Not afraid of extremes, Gil Le participated in digging with Song Luan and Tuan Tran. In the end, they dug a board that was linked to the one on the wall, from where they got through the secret room.
The second room represents the brain with youthful energy. Players need to perform physical challenges shown on the screen to find the decoding clues in the room. Hari Won in another challenge could not distinguish between “blue” and “green” even though Song Luan mentioned the lesson. She said angrily “Let’s speak Vietnamese, but I don’t understand anything”. It turned out that because Song Luan used Sino-Vietnamese, Hari Won did not understand and caused confusion.
The next room is decorated like a nostalgic afternoon countryside market corner, with tables and chairs and bamboo-roofed huts. In the room there is a board with crosswords that need to be solved. There are also childhood dishes such as children’s noodles, fish cakes, or deliciously presented tea trays. Through solving visual and text challenges, the cast felt the richness and diversity of the Vietnamese language. The correct answer to the challenge in the room is “Keeping the nation’s soul”, bringing the message that the Vietnamese language must be preserved and the purity of the language is a national tradition that has been passed down for generations.
The cast continued to go to a room with a bamboo bed and a pot of sticky rice cooking. Suddenly in the room appeared a mother teaching her son the first words of life. It turns out that deep in the subconscious, everyone remembers those childhood days. Vietnamese begins with a mother’s lullaby, with a profound tone asking for a heavy fall, which will follow us for the rest of our lives. The cast was touched as if they were living back in the most beautiful, peaceful and bright memories of the life they had ever experienced.
Through the program, the Escape Challenge team wants to send a message of honoring the Vietnamese language, upholding the message that preserving and developing Vietnamese is the work that young people themselves need to do.
