Hyundai IONIQ 5 electric car 2022 officially launched in Vietnam

In recent times, electric cars are becoming a new trend of the world auto industry and developing wildly in Vietnam. VinFast is the strongest brand when switching to 100% electrification from 2023.

Also not out of the game, TC Motor has just officially introduced the Hyundai Ioniq 5 2022 to domestic customers. This model has a futuristic design, full of technology and an attractive price.

In terms of design, Hyundai IONIQ 5 is developed based on the E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) platform used for Hyundai’s most advanced electric vehicle. IONIQ 5 is a BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) pure electric vehicle with a rechargeable battery system with a capacity of 72.6kWh, meeting 400V/800V dual electrical structure, allowing compatibility with a DC 350kW fast charger with charging speeds from 10 – 80% in just 18 minutes and 56 minutes with a 50kW charging station to charge from 20 – 80%. If using the standard 10.9 kW AC charger, it only takes 6.6 hours to fully charge 100%.

IONIQ 5 2022 is 4,635 mm long and especially the huge wheelbase reaches 3,000 mm, which is larger than the large SUV Hyundai Palisade. This Crossover has a width of 1,890 mm and a height of 1,605 mm, Hyundai claims that the Ioniq 5 offers the interior space of a vehicle located in the upper segment.

As for the interior, Hyundai makes the most of its dedicated EV platform by using completely flat floors. This layout, in addition to increasing legroom, has allowed engineers to create a space between the front seats thanks to the control cluster between the two seats that can slide the journey up to 140mm, which will prove useful. Useful in a narrow parking lot because the driver can easily exit the vehicle through the passenger door and vice versa.

The dashboard of the Hyundai IONIQ 5 is designed in a minimalist style, eliminating redundant details, combined with leading modern technologies. IONIQ 5 is equipped with a pair of connected 12.3-inch screens. In which, touch screen information & entertainment screen, multi-function setting. The car is equipped with a high-end Bose sound system and today’s most trendy entertainment system standards such as Android Auto / Apple Carplay along with a 360-degree camera.

In the Vietnamese market, Hyundai IONIQ 5 uses a single motor combined with a 72.6 kWh battery for a travel distance of 450 km per charge. Along with that, the car capacity reaches 214 horsepower, 350 Nm of torque. According to the announcement, the above battery also supports fast charging from 10 to 80% in just 18 minutes using a 350 kW power source.
