New update process for season 22, gamers need to know right away!
Time to update the new version: From 23h on 25/4/2022 to 10h on 26/04/2022.
The S21 tier season will officially end at 4:30 p.m. on April 26. The new S22 tier season will begin once the new patch update is complete. This is also the time when Lien Quan gamers prepare for a new rank climbing journey.
Notably, starting from this season 22, the first 7 ranking matches of the season will no longer be available to create a novelty for gamers’ rank climbing process. More attractive when Garena will give the whole server 3 star protection cards.
In FESTIVAL version 5v5, a completely new update method will also be applied called Continuous Update.
The following is the expected update schedule and the features that may be affected during the new version update period.
Version update preparation phase
Time: 23:00 on April 25 (Monday) – 10:00 a.m April 26 (Tuesday)
During this phase, the preparation for the update will begin. Most functions will not be affected. Only some players in the game lobby will receive a re-login message.
Clan entrance and Clan related functions will be inactive for the time being and are expected to return as the update moves into the next phase.
A small number of gamers in the game lobby may have problems with not being able to enter the game, or not be able to accept party invitations, create 5v5 squads, and create clans.
A prompt message will appear, you can resolve this situation by logging back into the game.
League of Legends players in battle will not be affected and can play normally.
Version release phase
Time: 10am this April 26 (Tuesday) – event April 29 (Friday)
During this period, Google Play Store/App Store will release 5v5 version of FESTIVAL. Grandmasters can choose the update time that is most convenient for them. You can enter the game on the old version, but some functions will be limited. Update notification on Play Store / App Store will have a delay, please wait patiently.
Players who have not updated to the new version will be prompted to update each time they log in.
Non-updated players cannot play season S22 ranked matches. Players who have completed the update can start a new tiered season.
For players who have not updated, the following features will not be displayed: New version related resources: New Heroes, New Skins, Avatars, Borders, Emotes, In-Game Special Effects, Rhythms Jumps, Accessories, New Event Content, etc
Player profiles related to the new version: personal titles, top general information, favorite champions,…
Pre-order banners Mission Book and pre-ordered gifts. You can still purchase the SSM 41 Pre-order badge in the old version, but will need to update to the new version and go to the “Events” section to redeem the pre-order gifts.
Between non-updated and updated players, the following interactions will not work and a message will appear: Skins cannot be donated.
The player’s profile and match history cannot be viewed in the new version. Unable to send party invitations.
Cannot join the same party.
Mandatory version update period
This period will be opened before April 29, the specific time will be announced later.
During this phase, each player must complete the 5v5 FESTIVAL update before entering the game.
Players who have not updated will be forced to log out if still in the lobby or in the game after the announced time.
