Audi Vietnam recalls 301 Q5s to replace the steering wheel airbag
The recalled Q5s are in the production period from 2009 to 2012 and are distributed in Vietnam.
The distributor of the German luxury car company has recalled to replace the Takata airbag on the steering wheel of the Q5. The reason is that the air pump unit can be damaged if the airbag is deployed, causing minor injury to the driver and passenger.

Thereby, the company decided to recall the genuine Audi Q5 distribution in the production period from 2009 to 2012 for inspection and replacement. The number of genuine cars sold in Vietnam market subject to the recall is 301 units.
Audi will contact directly affected Q5 vehicle owners. No accident information has been reported yet. The inspection and repair time is about an hour for each vehicle and it is completely free.
The recall program takes place from April 25, 2022 to April 25, 2025 nationwide.
