Big fire on Nguyen Hoang Street, flames rising tens of meters high

At about 2:15 on April 27, the fire started at a tire shop at 63 Nguyen Hoang (Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi) and then spread to many surrounding houses, causing serious property damage.
According to initial information, the fire occurred at about 2:15 on April 27 at Mr. Do Thanh Long’s tire shop (address at 63 Nguyen Hoang, My Dinh 2 ward, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi). Immediately after receiving the news, the Nam Tu Liem District Police dispatched 2 fire engines, 1 command vehicle, and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to export 2 fire engines, 1 tank truck and more. 30 officers and soldiers participated in the fire.
Determining that the fire started at the tire shop with an area of about 35m2 including combustible materials that cause smoke, the fire force urgently coordinated with the Military Command of Nam Tu Liem District, the Ward Police and the Ward People’s Committee. My Dinh 2 deployed in all directions to control the fire.
However, in just a few minutes, the fire spread to about 8 surrounding households and affected the back of some houses at lane 20/80 My Dinh street. Firefighters tried their best to prevent the fire from spreading, while evacuating many people and people’s properties during the night.
After nearly 4 hours of efforts to put out the fire and prevent the fire from spreading, by 5:30 a.m. on April 27, the fire had been completely extinguished. Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire. The case is currently under investigation.

On the morning of April 27, Mr. Thanh, the owner of a printing and advertising shop on Nguyen Hoang Street, lost his mind to collect the burnt items in his family.
“The goods I just picked up the other day were completely burned, but fortunately the people were not hurt,” Thanh said.
Talking about the fire at dawn this morning, he said that when he was sleeping, he suddenly heard the doorbell of the neighbors next door, ran downstairs to see a big fire at the tire shop.
“We tried to put out the fire but could not put it out, the fire was tens of meters high, the 4-storey house in the back was also damaged”, Mr. Thanh added.
