According to the regulations, individuals who receive income from organizations such as Facebook, Google, YouTube… are classified as business individuals. Accordingly, the Quang Ninh Tax Department invited Mr. Thai to work to determine the amount to be paid. Specifically, Mr. Thai has to pay two taxes, including: Value-added tax on domestically produced goods of VND 595 million; Business income tax from personal activities 215 million.
Immediately after the discovery and handling of the above case, the Quang Ninh Tax Department also asked the local Sub-Departments to strengthen the review of YouTuber, Facebook channel owners … to take tax management measures according to regulations.
