Many customers registered to use Starlink satellite Internet said that they felt like they were cheated when they did not receive their equipment after many months of depositing and the service price suddenly increased.

In February 2021, Alan Sbi, who lives in a mountain range in South Carolina, put down a deposit to buy a set of Starlink equipment for $ 100 in the hope of improving the quality of the network. Before that, Alan Sbi could not attend online meetings, watch livestreams or even use basic network services because the old satellite Internet quality was too bad.

However, for the end of March this year, Alan Sbi still did not receive any notifications from SpaceX and did not receive any routers. This makes Alan Sbi extremely disappointed or even angry, especially when Elon Musk recently increased the price of Starlink satellite Internet service even for customers who have not received the device. Sbi asked Starlink to refund the deposit but was unable to contact the company, leaving SpaceX’s customer care service almost “non-existent”.

Another customer named Ruck Kecher, who lives in Northern Virginia, also had a lot of trouble and was unable to receive Starlink’s deposit refund for the past year. This guy said, until the end of 2022 he can start using satellite Internet service, much later than 1 year and the service price will be increased.

Another user, Denise Elise, who lives in the suburbs, ordered Starlink in April 2021, but so far she has only received 2 emails confirming payment and price increase notice from Starlink. She sent out many complaints emails but did not receive any response.

Tim Nash is another customer of Starlink’s satellite Internet service who received the kit in February 2022. But just a month later, Starlink raised the price of the service.

Nash lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia, and is quite pleased with this set of Internet equipment. However, the guy said that the company’s customer service was too poor. Nash said the company’s customer care service was as if it didn’t exist, unable to get help from anyone after the device had a connection problem.

Lluc Palerm, an analyst at Northern Sky Research, said that as a start-up, Starlink’s focus is currently on the satellite system, so it is understandable not to focus on customer care.

Currently, SpaceX has not yet given any response to negative customer feedback.
