Import and export through Lao Cai border gate gradually recovered

According to statistics of the Lao Cai Border Gate Management Board, from April 6-25, 655 vehicles were cleared through Kim Thanh Border Gate. The main export products are tapioca starch, peeled board, coffee…; Imported items are: coke, vegetables and fruits, shoes, children’s toys, machinery and equipment…

Lao Cai Border Gate Management Board said that, after a period of hiatus, from April 6, import and export activities through Kim Thanh road border gate No. II have resumed operations, however, on the Ha Khau side ( China) is still implementing social distancing measures, so the two border management boards have discussed and agreed.

During this time, the functional force department handles customs clearance for goods that have opened declarations before February 17, then clears customs procedures for vehicles that are brought up later.

Despite the clearance, import and export activities still depend on the epidemic situation from China.

The functional force recommends that businesses need to carefully research information, actively connect to ensure that goods are transferred when exporting to China, avoiding the situation that goods are cleared but stuck at inspection yards. on the Ha Khau side, causing damage to the business.
