iPhone 14 could mark the end of small screen phones

When small-sized models no longer receive the welcome of users, there are many speculations that “Apple House” will not launch iPhone 14 mini following the previous generation of iPhone 13 mini.

According to a recent report by research firm Wave7, Apple’s 2022 iPhone SE sales show disappointment right in the US. In the survey, up to 56% of store owners said that demand for iPhone SE is lower than its predecessor.

Not only that, Apple does not seem enthusiastic in marketing this model. Wave7’s survey shows that iPhone SE is not advertised in any media, from television, radio, outdoor or paper marketing. Even a representative of Verizon network also said that “not many people know about the presence of this device”.

Some stores believe that it is the small size of the iPhone SE that makes the model not attract the attention of users. With a 4.7-inch display, iPhone SE 2022 is the smallest iPhone line ever sold by Apple.

Demand for this device model was lower than the company’s prediction. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple has cut production from 25-30 million units to only about 15-20 million.

Most manufacturers are using medium-sized displays from 6.6 to 6.7 inches, with companies like Huawei and Vivo sometimes having large 7-inch products.

Some names like Samsung and Google used to make small smartphones, but their recent flagship shows that manufacturers are not interested in small phones.

Although Apple usually does not equip technology the latest on its products, for example, only integrating 5G after the technology has been put into use for nearly a year and a half. But other manufacturers tend to follow the “Apple House” in certain areas, such as the decision to sell the device without a charger.

Therefore, if Apple stops making small phones, the market share of which it holds the majority, it is almost certain that other companies will make the same decision. They understand that there is always a reason behind every action of this tech giant.
