Russia announced an attack on S-300, Ukrainian ballistic missiles

The Russian military announced a series of attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian army and destroyed many weapons in the Kharkov province, in the east of the country.

General Konashenkov said that Russian artillery and ground missiles carried out 1,299 raids on targets in Ukraine on April 26, destroying many command posts and positions of the Ukrainian army. Russian army aircraft and helicopters also hit 87 military targets, destroying many enemy artillery and motor vehicles.

After two months of hostilities, Russia is increasing the use of long-range missiles to attack targets on the territory of Ukraine. Russian ground forces also hit multiple targets along the front line more than 480 km in the Donbass region, eastern Ukraine, with the goal of penetrating enemy lines in the Donetsk, Lugansk and Kharkov regions.

In recent days, the President of Ukraine has repeatedly urged Western countries to increase support for heavy weapons, especially fighters, tanks and anti-aircraft missiles for Ukraine. Last week, the US announced it would extra aid Heavy artillery, howitzers, and tactical drones. Poland said on April 25 that it had supplied Ukraine with a number of tanks, but did not specify the number or type.

The fighting in eastern Ukraine is expected to be fierce, with a pattern similar to the major battles with tanks and artillery during World War II.
