Russia stops supplying gas to Poland and Bulgaria

The move comes after Poland and Bulgaria refused to pay Gazprom Russia by Ruble.

Earlier, Russia warned European countries about the risk of gas supply cut off unless payment in ruble.

Poland and many European countries have repeatedly denied paying for gas in rubles under the new Russian rules.

Meanwhile, some Russian gas buyers have signaled that they may agree to Moscow’s demands. On April 25, Uniper, a major importer of German gas from Russia, said it could pay for future supplies without violating Western sanctions.

According to Bloomberg, gas price in Europe increased 17% immediately after the news of the cessation of gas supplies from Russia.
