Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 launched with a new design, improved active noise cancellation and voice call quality
Sennheiser recently announced the Momentum True Wireless 3 headphones, the latest version of the high-end wireless headset line that has confirmed its position since 2018.
The headset part of Momentum True Wireless 3 has been changed in design, looking closer to the CX and CX Plus True Wireless series than previous Momentum True Wires versions. It seems that Sennheiser has decided to use a common design language for the company’s headphone product lines. However, the Momentum still creates a high-end impression that stands out from the product lines in the lower price segment.

The fabric-covered case is similar in shape and size to previous versions, but Sennheiser has moved the USB-C port to the front. At first glance, this position looks a bit strange, but this is a trend that is being applied by many wireless headset manufacturers because of its convenience. This new case also supports wireless charging, a feature not found on previous generations.

In addition to the new headset design, Sennheiser said that the Momentum True Wireless 3 will bring improvements in comfort when using, upgraded active noise cancellation and quality when making voice calls.
However, in two key areas – sound quality and battery life – the new version doesn’t come with major upgrades. Momentum True Wireless 3 continues to use 7mm drivers made in Germany. The smartphone app will allow you to better personalize the bass, mid and treble. True Wireless 3 supports AAC, SBC and aptX Adaptive codecs, which promises to reduce latency and deliver better sound quality.

Sennheiser has upgraded adaptive active noise cancellation, allowing Momentum True Wireless 3 to automatically adjust noise cancellation levels based on changes in the surrounding environment. Sennheiser says the system can adjust itself in real time, but if desired, users can also adjust manually.
Each headset will be equipped with three microphones, Sennheiser says this will bring a noticeable improvement to voice call quality.

Battery life remains at 7 hours of continuous music playback, the charging case will bring an additional 21 hours of use. Momentum True Wireless 3 is IPX4 certified for water resistance, suitable for exercise and light rain.
Apart from the design changes, Sennheiser doesn’t bring much breakthrough with the Momentum True Wireless 3. For example, they still lack Bluetooth Multipoint.
Momentum True Wireless 3 starts selling from May 10 for $ 249.95 (VND 5.7 million), available in three colors: black, white and graphite gray.
