Temporarily suspending medical declaration at all border gates from today

On April 26, the Ministry of Health issued Official Letter 2118 on the temporary suspension of medical declaration at border gates.

Accordingly, recently, the Covid-19 epidemic has tended to reduce both the number of cases and deaths globally. In Vietnam, the disease has been controlled nationwide with a high rate of vaccination against Covid-19.

The Ministry of Health has asked the People’s Committees of provinces and cities to suspend the application of medical declaration at all border gates of Vietnam for people entering Vietnam from 0:00 on April 27.

Provinces and cities continue to maintain supervision of arrivals at border gates according to the provisions of Decree 89/2018, proactively update communication materials and recommendations for Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control in accordance with regulations of the Government. current situation and proactively reporting timely.

Earlier, Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long said that Vietnam currently does not apply epidemiological tracing.
