Ha Thanh Xuan’s husband, Thang Ngo, is a businessman, 13 years older than her, going through a marriage. He said that at first, he did not want to know people in showbiz, so he refused to meet before Ha Thanh Xuan returned to the US. Later, when learning and listening to Ha Thanh Xuan’s voice, he became her fan, actively texting to get acquainted. After more than a month of persistence, he finally got her consent.

At first, they texted and chatted via Face Time due to geographical distance and could not date directly due to the pandemic. Even so, the two still found common ground, becoming more and more connected. Thang Ngo said: “I’m a person who rarely smiles, it’s hard for anyone to make me smile. When I talk to Xuan, I feel like a different person. I have completely quit smoking since the day I met her.”

Ha Thanh Xuan commented that her fiancé lived emotionally. Before meeting him, she rarely went to a men’s fashion store. Seeing that Thang Ngo often wears a shirt, she bought him many costumes. Although her boyfriend had been through a marriage breakdown and had a daughter of his own, she was ready to accept it because she saw many good points in him.

In March 2022, the two met face-to-face for the first time when Ha Thanh Xuan returned home from the US. Thang Ngo proposed to his girlfriend in early April. When the lover exchanged the ring, Ha Thanh Xuan cried with emotion.
