Apple officially launched the iPhone repair program, what benefits does iFan get?-Hi-tech fashion

The Self-Service Repair Program has officially launched with a Dedicated Store that provides iPhone replacement parts and services to iFan.

First announced in November 2021, the new Self-Service Repair Shop is now open. In the future, the program will be extended to MacBooks, currently only for Iphone. However, this program does not apply to every iPhone.

Parts or “repair type” available Apple called a package, such as a battery repair package that includes a set of general screws, security screws and adhesive, and a new battery.

In each case, Apple sets a price but also offers a discount on getting the replaced parts back. For example, users have to pay 70.99 USD (equivalent to 1.62 million VND) initially to buy iPhone 12 batteries, the damaged battery will be returned. When returning the replaced part, Apple will refund 24.15 USD (about 554,000 VND).

Customers can optionally buy iPhone replacement parts or purchase a repair tool package.

After returning the damaged part, the battery repair will be only about 46.84 USD (about 1.07 million VND) for the iPhone 12. The price after returning the battery for other iPhone models ranges from 26,00 USD. 11 USD (about 599 thousand VND) for iPhone SE 2022 to 46.85 USD (about 1.97 million VND) for iPhone 13 Pro Max battery.

This $46.84 battery replacement cost is cheaper than Apple’s store repair fee of $69 (about 1.58 million). However, users will also have to spend 49 USD (about 1.12 million VND) to rent repair tools, AppleCare + customers can be exempted from this.

The website also provides a phone number and online support service, available 24/7. However, the entire service is only available in the US. In addition to the comprehensive new in-store repair guides, Apple has also published a detailed document on “Expanding Access to Service and Repair to Apple Devices.”
