Breakthrough profits, banks increase capital to billion USD
The General Meeting of Shareholders of Lien Viet Post Commercial Joint Stock Bank – LienVietPostBank (April 28) unanimously approved a plan to sharply increase charter capital in 2022.
Accordingly, LienVietPostBank will increase its charter capital by VND 6,213 billion through the 2021 dividend payment at the rate of 15% and the issuance of shares to existing shareholders and foreign investors. With this increase, the charter capital of LienVietPostBank will reach more than 21,249 billion VND (approximately 1 billion USD).
LienVietPostBank is a bank with high growth rates in recent years in terms of total assets and profits. The increase in charter capital will help this bank continue to maintain its growth rate in the coming period, especially when the economy recovers after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Previously, in 2021, LienVietPostBank, stock code LPB, was also approved by the State Bank to increase charter capital through paying dividends to existing shareholders, at the rate of 12% in shares. Funds for implementation are taken from profits in 2020.
In 2021, LienVietPostBank reached total assets of 289,194 billion VND and pre-tax profit reached 3,638 billion VND, an increase of more than 50% compared to 2020.
In 2022, LienVietPostBank has set a target of increasing total assets of VND 336,000 billion, mobilizing market 1 is VND 257,070 billion, credit in market 1 is VND 246,650 billion, collecting services is VND 1,150 billion, profit before tax is 4,800 billion dong, expected dividend payout ratio is 12%. One of the key directions in 2022, LienVietPostBank will continue to focus on retail and exploit the rural market, based on the strength of the network associated with the postal system, and at the same time develop cooperation with insurance carriers to long-term exclusive distribution.
In the market, after years of profitable business, many banks have set out plans to increase capital strongly in 2022.
The State Bank has also just approved to change the charter capital of SeABank from VND 14,785 billion to VND 16,598 billion. Previously, in 2021, SeABank has increased its charter capital twice with a total of VND 2,698 billion. In 2022, Seabank also plans to increase its charter capital from VND 16,598 billion to VND 22,690 billion.
Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank – MSB has also approved the plan to increase charter capital in 2022 through the issuance of shares to increase charter capital by 30%. Accordingly, the charter capital of MSB will increase to VND 19,857.5 billion.
ABBank also has a plan to increase the charter capital of ABBank which will increase from the current VND 9,409 billion to more than VND 10,400 billion through the issuance of shares to pay dividends and the issue of ESOP preference shares at the price of 10,000 VND/share.
