At least 113 countries across Europe and the world import Kinder products. On April 10, the International Network of Food Safety Authorities (INFOSAN) issued a global warning about the risk of Salmonella contamination when consuming this product, prompting Ferrero to immediately recall the product. products in many countries, including the US and European countries.

According to WHO, the symptoms of Salmonella infection are relatively mild. In most cases, the patient will clear up on their own without treatment. However, the risk is higher for some pediatric and elderly patients as dehydration can become severe and life-threatening.

Salmonella bacteria can cause symptoms such as acute fever, abdominal pain, nausea, and diarrhea. There are about 2,500 different strains of Salmonella, but the most common strains that cause illness in humans are Typhimurium and Enteritidis.
