According to military experts, images taken from the Ukrainian battlefield show that Russian tanks suffer from a problem that the West calls a “Jack-in-the-box effect” error.

Experts say that Russian tanks carry too much ammunition in their turrets, which makes them more susceptible to explosions and create a chain reaction.

In the worst case scenario, the entire ammunition stock could explode, which includes up to 40 rounds.

According to CNN, the shock wave can even cause a tank’s turret to explode, flying into the air with a distance of a two-story building.

Sam Bendett, an adviser to the Russian Studies Program at the Center for a New American Security, said: “Russian tanks have a major design flaw. If these tanks are hit, their shells will burned causing a huge explosion, and the turret would literally blow up”.

Former British Army officer Nicholas Drummond added: “If you don’t get out within the first second, you’re dead.”

This error has been known since 1991, when Iraqi tanks of Russian production also experienced the same problem.

Speaking on April 25, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace told other MPs that more than 2,000 Russian armored vehicles had been destroyed or captured, including up to 580 tanks. He also said about 15,000 Russian troops have been killed since President Vladimir Putin launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24.

Intelligence from the British Ministry of Defense (MoD) shows that Russia seems to be facing many difficulties in carrying out the operation in Ukraine.

The MoD stated: “Ukraine retains control over most of its airspace. Russia has failed to destroy the Ukrainian Air Force or suppress Ukraine’s air defense systems.”

The ministry added: “Russia’s air activity is mainly focused on southern and eastern Ukraine, providing support to ground forces. Moscow has almost no access to the airspace north and west of Ukraine. , as well as many difficulties in using long-range weapons”.

“The vast majority of Russian air strikes on Mariupol are carried out by dropping unguided free-fall bombs. Such weapons reduce the effectiveness of air strikes and increase the risk of civilian casualties.” .
