The main tower has the shape of Dragon bridge architecture, 113m high, leaning towards Thu Thiem with 56 cable-stayed systems. When completed, the tower will be the symbol of the welcome gate from the city center through Thu Thiem New Urban Area. Along with artistic lighting design, Thu Thiem 2 Bridge will be an outstanding architectural highlight on the Saigon River both day and night.
The section of the bridge leading to District 1 is designed with 3 branches, of which the main branch is 437m long, has 4 lanes of traffic through Nguyen Huu Canh – Le Thanh Ton intersection and connects up and down the bridge on Ton Duc Thang street and Le Duan street. . Branch N1 is 195.5m long, 7m wide with 2 lanes starting from Me Linh Park running along Ton Duc Thang street on the banks of the Saigon River connecting to the main bridge, for the lane from District 1 to Thu Thiem.
The surface of Ton Duc Thang road from the edge of the Saigon River, running parallel to the main bridge branch on the side of Ba Son area to the intersection of Nguyen Huu Canh – Le Thanh Ton, is built on a campus, adding lanes for vehicles to move parallel and run under bridge.
The two sides of the bridge in District 1 are designed with 2 stairs leading to the bridge deck.
The road leading to Thu Thiem urban area is 140m long and 36m wide, connecting the arc boulevard.
The campus of the globe in District 1 is created with an airy landscape, making a difference compared to the time when the bridge was not built.
Thu Thiem Bridge 2 is considered a new symbol of Ho Chi Minh City. The project not only contributes to reducing traffic congestion but also promotes the city’s socio-economic development.
