The cat often rides trains and buses with its owners to explore new lands. Its favorite regular position is on the boss’ shoulder.

Mike adopted the cat when it was 8 weeks old in May 2021. With an easygoing personality, fond of lively places, the cat quickly became a familiar member of most local pubs and bars.

“Most people know the cat, it’s also treated like a celebrity in the neighborhood,” Mike said.

Since then, Mike has had many pets, but mainly dogs. In 2020, Mike decided to look for a friendly cat to take care of, living with him in the house in Hull.

A year later, Mike started taking his first trips with cats. Before each trip, he equips it with a lot of necessary items such as a cat leash, a bag, food, most importantly, to make sure the cat feels most comfortable when leaving the house.

“I don’t want the cat to be startled by anything. Nine out of 10 trips, the cat loves to sit on my shoulder. Every time he meows, I know he wants to stop to get off. promenade,” said Mike.

After a period of working with the local natural environment, the cat MewPaul was taken further away by the owner. In January 2022, the cat arrived in York, about 80 minutes away by train.

Mike said: “I was surprised to see that the cat did not show any signs of being afraid of noise on the train. It was curious, looked around for a while, then fell asleep. Its expression during the trip away from the head. First of all, it surprised me.”

When he arrived in York, MewPaul and his owner walked around the beautiful town, but the most attractive thing for the cat was the music and the bar.

Owner Mike set up a personal Instagram page for the cat to regularly share pictures of its daily life. Currently, the page has more than 12,000 followers.
