Ban on many roads on the evening of April 30 to set off fireworks

On April 28, the Department of Transport (Transportation) of Ho Chi Minh City announced to adjust the traffic organization for the high-altitude fireworks program to celebrate the 47th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, reunification of the country and 136 year International Labor Day.

Accordingly, the high-altitude fireworks program was held at the Saigon River Tunnel area (Thu Thiem ward, Thu Duc city). Therefore, from 18:30 to 21:30 on April 30 (Saturday), the Department of Transport banned vehicles from traveling on Nguyen Hue Street (the section from Le Thanh Ton Street to Ton Duc Thang Street).

+ Directions to District 4: Le Thanh Ton Street → Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street → Ham Nghi Street → Ton Duc Thang Street or Le Thanh Ton Street → Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street → Nguyen Thai Binh Street → Calmette Street → Calmette Bridge → Doan Street Van Bo → Hoang Dieu street.

+ Direction to District 3: Ton Duc Thang Street → Me Linh Square → Hai Ba Trung Street → Le Thanh Ton Street → Pasteur Street.

In addition, from 20:00 to 21:30 on April 30, Ho Chi Minh City banned all types of vehicles from traveling on the following routes:

Nguyen Tat Thanh Street (section from Hoang Dieu Street to Khanh Hoi Bridge), Ton Duc Thang Street (section from Me Linh Square to Khanh Hoi Bridge), Dong Khoi Street (section from Ngo Duc Ke Street to Ton Duc Thang Street), Hai Trieu Street (section from Ho Tung Mau Street to Nguyen Hue), Ham Nghi Street (section from Ho Tung Mau Street to Ton Duc Thang Street).

From District 4 to District 1: Nguyen Tat Thanh Street → Hoang Dieu Street → Doan Van Bo Street → Calmette Bridge → Turn right to Calmette Bridge → Vo Van Kiet Street → Pasteur Street → Le Duan Street → Ton Duc Thang Street.

From District 1 to District 4: Le Duan Street → Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street → Nguyen Thai Binh Street or Nguyen Cong Tru Street → Calmette Street → Calmette Bridge → Doan Van Bo Street → Hoang Dieu Street → Nguyen Tat Thanh Street.

From District 1 to Thu Duc city: Vo Van Kiet street → Vo Van Kiet parallel street → Pasteur street → Le Duan street → Ton Duc Thang street → Nguyen Binh Khiem street → Nguyen Huu Canh street → Thu Thiem 1 bridge → Nguyen street Co Thach → Mai Chi Tho street.

From Thu Duc city to District 1: Mai Chi Tho street → Nguyen Co Thach street → Thu Thiem bridge 1 → Nguyen Huu Canh street → Nguyen Binh Khiem street → Le Duan street → Nam Ky Khoi Nghia street → Vo Van Kiet street.

According to the Department of Transport, during the fireworks display, vehicles and pedestrians are not allowed to circulate on Khanh Hoi and Thu Thiem 2 bridges.

During the holidays of April 30 and May 1 this year, it is expected that Ho Chi Minh City will organize fireworks on the evening of April 30 (from 9pm to 9:15pm) at 2 locations. The high point at the beginning of the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc City) and the low point at Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11).
