Previously, many patients reflected on the fact that they had a Health Insurance card but had to spend millions to buy medicine outside. According to Doctor Viet, the drug shortage has recently occurred. This drug belongs to the national drug procurement bidding group. The side of the national shopping center has not been able to negotiate, so the medicine is late, if it is urgent, the hospital actively bids.

Therefore, the hospital is pre-procuring an initial amount of drugs, about 20% of the total number of drugs, and is expected to have this group of drugs by the end of the ceremony. The remaining drugs will be procured according to regulations, expected to be completed in about half a month at the earliest.

“The hospital does not apply the form of collusion, borrowing drugs first, paying later, because they do not comply with the provisions of the law,” said Doctor Viet.

Mr. NVT, a dialysis patient at Cho Ray Hospital, said fortunately this time he had not yet had a follow-up visit, so he did not have to buy medicine from outside. However, 3 years ago he encountered this condition and had to buy medicine outside for 4-5 months.
