Efforts to build the North-South Expressway tunnel

It’s almost lunch break, but in the Truong Vinh tunnel under the Nghi Son – Dien Chau expressway project, construction work is still very active. To ensure the tunnel opening on schedule, Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh and more than 130 officials, engineers and workers of Deo Ca Group have constructed 3 consecutive shifts, throughout from the Lunar New Year until now.
Thanh shared: “In order to serve the goal of tunneling, the brothers have not returned since Tet to achieve the set goal.”
In the Truong Vinh tunnel, day and night, the engineers and workers of Deo Ca Group worked hard in the tunnel environment, facing many difficulties due to the weak geology of the tunnel. However, with determined efforts, long-term experience and modern machinery, up to now, the drilling, excavation and tunneling items of the left branch have been basically completed by Deo Ca Group. The right branch tunnel with more than 70m will be open in mid-May.

Mr. Vo Son Hai – Construction Commander in the North of Truong Vinh Tunnel, Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company – said: “The staff of Deo Ca Group have carried out many big projects, so they are familiar with it. In the near future, on the occasion of the 30/4 – 1/5 holiday, we will still work as usual, trying in March 2023 we will complete the entire Truong Vinh tunnel.”
Up to now, the North-South expressway project at Nghi Son – Dien Chau section is simultaneously implementing 60 constructions on the route, reaching 27% of the schedule as planned. Currently, contractors are focusing on human resources to accelerate progress to complete the work to the finish line in 2023.
