The European Union (EU) announces its readiness tariff removal for industrial goods and foodstuffs imported from Ukraine for one year.

Ukrainian President Zelensky immediately welcomed the move of the European Commission (EC).

On the same day, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken expressed hope that the administration of President Joe Biden would make an offer to provide additional funding to Ukraine, including items for food security.

Previously, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) warned that the conflict in Ukraine will have far-reaching economic impacts both in this country and around the world. Background Ukraine’s economy is forecast to decline by 35% this year.

Previously, for the first time under the administration of President Joe Biden, on April 25, the US State Department invoked the emergency declaration to approve a contract to sell ammunition worth $ 165 million to Ukraine.

By law, major US arms sales need to be approved by both houses of Congress. With the use of the above emergency declaration, Washington can sell weapons to Kiev without skipping this step.

It is expected that on April 26, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will chair a meeting with the participation of representatives of more than 40 countries at the US air base in Ramstein, Germany, which focuses on the issue supply military equipment to Ukraine.

Meanwhile, speaking to the British House of Commons on April 25, British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said that London will transfer the Stormer self-propelled air defense system equipped with Strarstreak missiles to Ukraine. He added that, as Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced earlier, first-class military equipment worth 100 million pounds ($130 million) will be delivered to Ukraine, including 120 armored vehicles, anti-missiles ships and high-tech ammunition. However, Minister Wallace denied that Britain would transfer AS90 self-propelled artillery systems to Ukraine.

On the same day, the British Government also announced that it will provide Ukraine with 22 ambulances, more than 40 new fire trucks and medical equipment and supplies, as well as £ 300,000 to help charity UK- Med supports the doctors and nurses of Ukraine. The new aid will arrive in Ukraine in the next few days.

In addition, the British Government has also canceled all tariffs imposed on Ukrainian goods exported to the UK under an existing free trade agreement to support the Eastern European country’s economy. Accordingly, all import duties on goods from Ukraine to the UK will be reduced to zero and all quotas will also be removed at the request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This move by the UK will help Ukrainian businesses participate in the export of key commodities such as barley, honey, canned tomatoes and poultry.

The UK has announced that it will ban the export of certain technological products to Russia, such as surveillance equipment.
