SEA Games 31 is a sporting event taking place in Vietnam from May 12 to 23. There are 40 sports, mainly those contested at the Asian Games and the Olympics.

This is the second time Vietnam has hosted the SEA Games since 2003. Hanoi capital will play the main role and 11 neighboring provinces and cities, including: Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, Vinh Phuc, Bac Giang and Phu Tho will be the venues for the competitions.

The opening ceremony of the 31st SEA Games will last 120 minutes at My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi. According to the scenario, after the introduction, 11 Southeast Asian sports delegations started the parade program.
