In recent years, many patients have been bitten by venomous snakes and have been admitted to Hoa Binh Provincial General Hospital for treatment, including many patients requiring mechanical ventilation, dialysis, etc., but no deaths have been reported.

Dr. Tinh said the common venomous snakes in Vietnam are cobras (cobras, king cobras, scorpions/scorpions) and vipers. Snakebite accidents are common in the summer (rainy season) because snakes often go out of their shelters to find food, or because their accommodation is flooded. Prevention of snakebites: wear boots, high boots, and long pants when walking in the bush or in the dark. Do not go near solid or habitable places such as rubble, rubble, garbage piles, home animals. When you have to go through bushes and trees, you need to use sticks or sticks to strike at the places you are going to go to scare away snakes.
