Kitchen with 0 dong in front of the school gate of Da Nang teachers for 3 years helping the needy

At 10 am on Thursday, many poor workers showed up at the gate of Tay Ho Primary School (Hai Chau District, Da Nang) to receive free meals from teachers.

Mr. Truong Vinh Dang said that from early in the morning, the school’s teachers were busy going to the market and kitchen to prepare 200 meals for the poor workers such as lottery ticket sellers, motorbike taxi drivers, pick up bottles, people. disabilities…

The 0-dong kitchen of teachers at Tay Ho Primary School is opened once a month to help people in need.

Even with many people living far away who can’t come to receive a meal of 0 dong, teachers also become shippers who deliver meals to people in need.

Each meal also includes a box of milk, the price of each is 25,000 VND. All funds are donated and supported by the teachers of the school.

The teacher’s 0-dong kitchen has been maintained for 3 years now.

Mr. Dang said that teachers have maintained this “zero dong kitchen” for 3 years now to help disadvantaged people have heartwarming meals. Besides, through the program, teachers want to spread and educate students about sharing and human love.

Although the school’s professional work is quite busy, the teachers still try to arrange and take advantage of their free time, when there are no classes to prepare meals for the needy.

Taking advantage of the morning without classes, the teachers got up early and prepared 200 meals for the poor workers.

The free meals help the poor workers to warm their hearts.

Delighted to receive the lunch in her hand, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le shared: “I work as a picker of bottles and am a regular customer of this 0-dong kitchen. When I heard that there was a kitchen for 0 dong today, I also messaged a few other co-workers to come here to receive a free meal.”

Sending her thanks to the teachers, Ms. Le Thi Tien said with emotion: “I just came down from Hoa Tien commune to prepare to sell lottery tickets. Now I ask for 2 seats, one for my grandchild. I’m glad, this afternoon we both have a free meal.”

In the past 3 years, the teacher’s 0-dong kitchen has become a familiar address for poor and difficult workers in Hai Chau district, Da Nang.

In the hot midday sun, teachers are not afraid to become shippers who deliver free meals to the disadvantaged people who cannot afford to come and receive them.

Ms. Truong Thi Hong Thanh, Principal of Tay Ho Primary School, said that in order to maintain the kitchen for nearly 3 years, it is the heart and enthusiasm of the school branch and all teachers.

“The funding source for the past 3 years has been contributed by the teachers, in conjunction with the students’ parents. We want to maintain the kitchen with 0 dong for a long time to support more difficult people. The school branch has registered this model with the local Party Committee, studying according to Ho Chi Minh’s moral example,” said Ms. Thanh.
