Accordingly, it is forecasted that around April 29-30, this low pressure area is likely to strengthen into a tropical depression (the probability of becoming a tropical depression is about 50-60%). Due to the influence of circulation in the low pressure area (potentially becoming a tropical depression), the middle and southern areas of the East Sea (including the waters of Truong Sa island district), the sea from Binh Dinh to Ca Mau has rain. showers and thunderstorms, during thunderstorms, it is necessary to watch out for storms, hurricanes and strong winds.

According to Deputy Director Hoang Phuc Lam, from the night of April 30 to May 1, due to the influence of the Northeast monsoon, winds on the Gulf of Tonkin, the North East Sea (including the Hoang Sa archipelago), the sea from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai gradually became stronger to level 6, sometimes level 7, level 8-9, waves 2-3 m high, rough seas.

Regarding the trend of rain in the coming days, Deputy Director Hoang Phuc Lam said that from the night of April 30 to May 1, the Northern region and from May 1-2, the area from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien – Hue is likely to appear a moderate rain, heavy rain, very heavy rain and thunderstorms locally. From April 29 to May 3, the South Central region, the Central Highlands and the South are likely to experience thunderstorms on a large scale, locally with heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms.

According to the National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, on April 28, due to the influence of the low pressure trough connected to the low pressure area, it is located at about 6.5 – 7.5 degrees North latitude; 118.5 – 119.5 degrees East longitude, so today and tonight, the area between and south of the East Sea (including the waters of Truong Sa archipelago) will have strong showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind at level 7-8.
