The incident happened on a golf course in the Gold Coast city, in the state of Queensland – news agency Reuters quoted local officials on April 29. The victim was a 69-year-old woman who was playing golf.

“I kangaroo suddenly attacked while this person was playing golf, knocking her to the ground. Then it repeatedly stepped on the victim with its foot,” Queensland Ambulance Operations Supervisor, Joel McEwan, told reporters.

At that time, the victim was moving down to the position of the ball, so he did not notice the kangaroo prowling behind him.

“The victim suffered multiple wounds all over his body after being attacked by the kangaroo. The most serious injury was in his jaw. In addition, there were also lacerations on his face, legs and arms” – Mr. Joel McEwan said, adding that the victim was taken to the hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.
