TikTok just “peaked”, the highest record of all time, what is this?
There’s no denying the growing popularity of TikTok. In a recent report by Sensor Tower Q1 2022, TikTok was named the most downloaded app worldwide. To get to this spot, TikTok has reached 3.5 billion downloads, an all-time high. In the past, Facebook has never reached this terrible number of 3.5 billion.
Above App Store by Apple, TikTok has about 70 million downloads worldwide. The majority of these downloads are from iPhones and a small number are from iPads. Although TikTok has been banned in India since June 2020, the app still grew 11% QoQ in the Asian market.

Sensor Tower estimates include worldwide daily downloads for iPhone and iPad between January 1 and March 31, 2022.
TikTok’s other worldwide competitors including WhatsApp, Telegram, HBO Max, Facebook and Messenger are all far behind. With such success, it’s no wonder that TikTok has become a familiar application to any user.
