“Hundreds of factories and factories were destroyed, causing great damage. About 2,500 km of roads and nearly 300 bridges were damaged. These are not just statistics, it is the ruins of Mariupol, Volnovakha, Okhtyrka, Chernihiv, Borodianka and dozens of our other cities, villages, towns,” Zelensky said.

Zelensky said that the total damage after 64 days of Russia’s military campaign was about 600 billion USD. More than 11.5 million Ukrainians have been displaced by the conflict, about 5 million have gone abroad and 95% of these want to return to their homeland. Therefore, it is urgent to prepare a plan for the reconstruction of Ukraine.

He said the main task is to bring life back to normal for the entire territory where Russian forces once occupied and the places where it was bombarded. Zelensky added that Britain, Denmark, Japan, Italy and a number of other countries have agreed to help Ukraine restore the affected areas.

“The main task of the project is to rebuild the entire country together with Europe and the world. To establish partnerships with each city and country,” the Ukrainian president said.
